The New VG Bros

After talking to on twitter earlier this evening, I decided to try drawing the VG Bros in a style loosely based on her styles for the Eddsworld episode "Saloonatics".

I expected my friends to kill me, but instead they liked it, and they want these designs to be used in the new VG Bros comic I'm working on.

For those who don't know, from left to right, they are the following:

MIKE
Leader of the VG Bros. Mike just wants to have a good time working on comics and playing video games, but most of the time, his friends get in the way of that. They often come up with strange plans and ideas that drive him crazy, and he's dragged along whether he wants it or not. Despite his efforts to keep the others in control, he often becomes a foil for their absurdity and suffers for it constantly.

DAN
Hyperactive Sonic geek and Mike's best friend. Dan is usually the first to come up with absurd ideas, and often uses wordplay to confuse Mike for his own ends. Despite having a high level of intelligence when needed, Dan often acts childishly when confronted by Mike about his ideas, talking back and sulking when he doesn't get his own way. He dislikes Junior, and often gets into heated arguments with him.

NIKI
Laid back and strange, Niki often appears as Dan's hapless partner in crime. He's the smartest of the VG Bros, but nobody could tell this on outside appearances. The guys only has to ask him his name, and he will start philosophizing about the universe. He also has a worm doll which he uses to "attack" people whenever he feels like it, and he's awful at keeping secrets.

JUNIOR
Expert at fighting games, and easily riled chef of the night. Junior goes along with anything as long as there's a good fight involved, that is, as long as the fighting is video game based - on the battlefield, he's a coward. He often sides with Mike when trying to one-up Dan and Niki, as he doesn't like Dan too much. He's an expert chef, as much as HE adores his cooking; the others either pretend to, or openly throw up.

The script I'm working on is a camping trip episode. I'm working closely with the real Dan, Niki and Junior on the script, and I hope when the script is done I can start work on the comic. It's WAY more simplistic in style than the clear-line comics I've been doing, so it won't take as long to make.
